Single-chamber Wet Hearth Melting Furnace For Aluminum

A single-chamber wet hearth melting furnace is a type of furnace used in the aluminium industry to melt scrap aluminium for recycling. It utilises a pool of molten aluminium as a heat source, with the scrap aluminium being melted and mixed into the pool. The furnace is designed to maximise energy efficiency and minimise metal loss, with a refractory lining to contain the molten aluminium and prevent heat loss.

The furnace is charged with scrap aluminium, which is melted by the heat of the molten pool. As the aluminium melts, it is mixed into the pool and heated to a uniform temperature. The furnace is equipped with a series of burners that provide heat to the molten pool, and a stirring system to keep the aluminium in the pool well mixed.

Reverberatory Aluminum Melting Furnace

  • The Reverberatory furnace features a tilting mechanism for pouring molten aluminium and a separate heating and melting chamber.

  • The heat source can be natural gas, oil, or electricity.

  • Temperature range vary as per requirement.

Aluminum Melting Furnace

  • The furnace features a high-efficiency combustion system, advanced refractory materials, and a user-friendly control system.

  • Furnace uses natural gas or propane as a heat source.

  • The furnace can reach temperatures up to 1200°C.

Front Well

  • The front well may include features such as temperature control, automatic dross removal, and automatic alloying agent addition.

  • Depending on design, heat sources include electric resistance heating, natural gas, or fuel oil.

  • Temperature range vary as per requirement.

Side Well

  • Besides the side well, a single-chamber wet hearth melting furnace for aluminium may have automatic temperature control, charging, and tapping systems.

  • The furnace is heated by natural gas or electric heating elements.

  • Temperature range vary as per requirement.
